Nicholas Eftimiades was the guest for this special Space Show program. Nick began the interview by providing us with the background for his founding the Federation of Galaxy Exploers (FOGE). In listening to Nick tell us about his plans and the implementation of them, we soon learned the reasons behind his success in only four short years and just how his organization, rich with volunteers, ha been able to enrich the lives the children participating in the program.

Dr. Sam Dinkin returned as the guest for this Space Show program. We began the interview with a brief update from Dr. Dinkin on his new blog, Decisive Win (www.decisivewin.com). Check it and comment on it. Dr. Dinkin continues to write for The Space Review but his posting on his own blog will now constitute his blogging rather than his previous contributions to Transterrestrial Musings. The conversation then moved on for updates about SpaceShot, Sam's new start-up skill game to allow people the opportunity to earn a trip to suborbital space.

Dr. Alan Binder returned as the guest for this Space Show program. Alan began the interview with updates and clarification regarding his Lunar Prospector project. This developed into a discussion about NASA and the public space program and how best to get into space. Alan believes the private sector is most suited for the job, would like to see NASA become like a DARPA and is strongly supportive of the entrepreneurial space community. He is less supportive of the large aerospace industry and he tells why. Based on his own work and experiences, Dr.

The Space Show Deep Space Message for this month was submitted by the Senior Writer at Space.com, Leonard David and his wife Barbara. Here is the text of their message: Hello to out there…from over here. We don’t speak your language, so you may think that this message is more chirp than chatter from our little niche in the Great Universe. But if you do decipher this communiqué, we’re broadcasting from a small planet close to a neighboring star – a world of mostly water that we call Earth. Go figure.

Broadcast 566

Marshall Martin provided this month's Deep Space Message. Here is the text of his message: To Whom It May Concern: By the time you receive this message, my planet Earth maybe gone and all my descendants too. Many think it will be by war or global warming. I know there are bigger problems looming like: A major asteroid impact, loss of our radiation blocking magnetic field, and or a stellar dust cloud blocking our sun's warming rays. If this happens, know that our species constantly fought with each other over power and prestige.

Broadcast 565

Bob Krone provided the Deep Space message for this month. Here is his text: "The space community on earth has the widest spectrum of intelligence to be found anywhere in the world"

Broadcast 564

This Deep Space message was provided by my University of North Dakota graduate students from the spring 2006 semester. Their message was in two parts as shown below: "Hi my name is Chalbeth Reynolds. I'm 24 earth years old. I want to experience intergalactic travel and I love to try new cuisines. Looking for a being to take long planetary surface walks with and watch the solar system's star rise. If you're interested, beam me up sometime." "To our solar system partners, we are just wondering if you could provide some information or assistance for space maturation. Thanks in advance. P.S.

Broadcast 563

This Deep Space Message comes to us from Spain and listener Eduardo de la Torres Santos. Edu chose not to provide the written text for his message but you can hear it clearly on this archive.
