Lee Tinker obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1989 and is in his final year of the Master’s of Space Studies distance program at the University of North Dakota. Formerly a resident of North Georgia, he has worked for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department in South Florida for nine years as Comptroller and initially as Assistant Comptroller. Before his tenure in Florida, Lee worked for eight years at Chattanooga State Community College serving as Assistant Director of Advisement and Coordinator of Advisement, Orientation, and Retention. His initial position in post secondary education was a six year stint in the Academic Records unit at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Lee is also a part-time professional photographer, calligrapher, and amateur astronomer, where he serves as the Editor as the Treasure Coast Astronomical Society’s newsletter.

Each student focused in on the subject of their class paper or research.
