Dr. Loren Acton, Research Professor of Physics in the Dept. of Physics at Montana State University, was the guest for this Space Show program. Dr. Acton was a payload specialist on Challenger 8 so after a brief discussion regarding his membership in the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the intelligent design subject, we discussed what it was like being an astronaut. We covered lots of topics from training, to space sickness, his mission and research, transformative experiences, looking back at Earth, being able to tell others about the experience, and more.
