Broadcast 982 (Special Edition)

Guest: Dr. Jim Logan was the guest for this Space Show program. Dr. Logan kicked off the discussion with a reality check of the body of evidence that we have accumulated during the 47 years of human space flight. He talked about two major potential showstoppers, micro/hypo gravity and radiation. As we discussed during the show, we know quite a bit about these two areas, but we do not yet have a solution for the problems they create for long-term human spaceflight or settlement. Dr.

Broadcast 941 (Special Edition)

Guest: Lt. Col. Carol Welsch, USAF, returned for this special Space Show program. We started our discussion on the subject of last year's Chinese ASAT test as this subject was the focus of Col. Welsch's thesis at the US Air Force War College at Maxwell AFB, AL. As soon as her thesis is published, she will let me know and I will announce it on the show. During this program, we discussed some of the Colonel's findings and conclusions regarding intent, the scope of the Chinese ASAT program, plus many other factors.

Broadcast 624 (Special Edition)

Michael Belfiore was the guest for this Space Show program. We began our discussion with Michael with a focus toward his new book, "Rocketeers: How a visionary hand of business leaders, engineers, and pilots is boldly privatizing space." Michael told us how he got the idea for the book, his interviews with the leaders he refers to in the title, we discussed the contents of the book through the Table of Contents and learned that the book will be available around July 2007. His publisher is Smithsonian Books which is a division of the larger Harper Collins.
