Each segment was one hour but an overriding theme went through the entire show. This theme was the need to develop the space frontier and that the private sector could do it, that the government civil space program should address space exploration from LEO and beyond, but Earth to Leo should be turned over to the private sector companies. As Rick said, NASA should buy the ride, not the rocket.

Guest: Michael Potter, documentary film maker, was the guest for this show to talk with us about his new documentary film, "Orphans of Apollo: The Battle of the Mir & the New Space Revolution" (see www.orphansofapollo.com for more information). Mr. Potter told us the story of his documentary, the origin of the name "Orphans of Apollo," and we spoke at length about the cast of characters involved in working to buy the Mir Space Station from Russia for a commercial venture.

We started the discussion with an overview look on the legal case of space friend and benefactor, Walt Anderson. During the first segment of the show, we discussed Walt's situation in general, how the IRS and the government prosecutes such cases, some of the laws involved, and various scenarios that might apply to Walt.
