Guest: George Whitesides returned for this special Space Show program to discuss the upcoming ISDC conference, May 29-June 1 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC. However, the Space Investment Summit will be held at the same hotel on May 28 and anyone attending ISDC should fill out the special registration for the Summit and attend it as well. The ISDC website for further information is www.isdc.2008.org. During the ISDC segment of the program, George talked about the keynote speakers and several of the planned panel discussions.

George Whitesides, Executive Director of the National Space Society, was the guest for this Space Show program to discuss the upcoming 2007 ISDC conference. George answered many listener questions about NSS policy and support for the VSE, plus questions about the likely political changes resulting from the coming 2008 elections. We also discussed the most effective way to communicate with our elected members of congress, both as individuals and as part of an advocate organization. In addition, we discussed effective pro space-faring messages.

George Whitesides, the Executive Director of the National Space Society (NSS) returned to be the guest for this Space Show program. During the first part of the program, George discussed the work of the National Space Society and the upcoming annual conference, ISDC, which will be held in Washington, DC from May 19-22. Loretta Hidalgo and George Whitesides returned to The Space Show for this special program promoting the worldwide Yuri's Night Celebration on April 12, 2004. Loretta and George explained to Space Show listeners what Yuri's Night celebrations are about, how to participate in a Yuri's Night party or how to have your own celebration. We also talked with George about new position as Executive Director of the National Space Society. George outlined some of his plans, described the excitement within the organization, and talked about goals and objectives for the organization.
