Guest: Open Lines. Topics: Space Show guest audio quality, phone line issues, listener exchanges with guests, California space economy. This was an Open Lines program. The first segment was my monolog about two main issues, guest phone line audio quality and listener behavior with guests. You will hear the comprehensive explanation of phone line audio issues faced by The Space Show with guest phone lines, possible solutions and ideas that while always suggested to me do not work.

Dr. Joseph Pelton returned to The Space Show today to discuss his new book published by Apogee, "License To Orbit: The Future Of Commercial Space Travel." Guest: Jeff Krukin. Topics: NEWSPACE NATION, spaceports, suborbital and orbital flight. Jeff Krukin was our guest today to tell us about his new monograph, "NEWSPACE NATION: America's Emerging Entrepreneurial Space Industry." Jeff explained how and why he wrote this monogram and we discussed different segments of the Newspace industry referred to as industry clusters.

Guest: Dr. Henry Hertzfeld. Topics: economics for the nation, NASA, and space, investment, launch rates, government spending for space and R&D. Dr. Henry Hertzfeld returned to The Space Show to discuss the current state of our national and global economy and its probable impact on space development and programs. We examined the economic impact on companies that need to raise money, those which do not have clearly defined markets, and on those companies that are self-funded.

Guest: Dr. Jeff Bell. Topics: Apollo 8, Soviet L1 Zond, Obama space policy, SSP, Ares 1 & V, economics, Martian methane, NASA science missions, human spaceflight. Dr. Jeff Bell began the discussion today by referring back to an end of the year Space Show program which addressed Apollo 8 and a recent article written by Miles O'Brien on the same subject which ignored the rush for Apollo 8 because the Soviets were planning their own lunar flyby mission with the L1 which was more commonly referred to as the Zond spacecraft. Guest: Dr. Marshall Kaplan was our guest for today's show. We started our discussion with an introduction to his teaching, training, and education company, Launchspace (Please see http//www.launchspace.com/ ). We talked about his upcoming classes, Space Principles and Space Vehicle Mechanisms, plus other courses offered. Dr. Kaplan told us about the market for these courses, who teaches them, and many of the topics taught. In addition to talking about Launchspace, we talked about U.S. space policy, its importance, the risks it faces, and more.

Guest: Shubber Ali was our guest today in order to discuss our economic situation and its fallout for civil and private space, space solar power (SSP), space investment, venture capital, and much more. Several callers asked Shubber questions ranging from how NewSpace Companies should strategize for survival or moving forward given our economic crisis and one caller even asked for models of how aviation companies did it in the 1930s.

Guest (first hour): Professor Joanne Gabrynowicz was the guest for this special Space Show television show filmed on location in beautiful Cape Canaveral, Florida. We started our interview by discussing the relevance of space law as well as recent changes in this area, particularly in regards to Earth observation and remote sensing. Professor Gabrynowicz went over the original purpose of satellites for scientific research and the process by which countries agree to make relevant data freely available to countries affected by a natural disaster.

Our discussion started with an overview of the Secure World Foundation which includes working to have a secure and sustainable use of space for the benefit of Earth and all its peoples.
