Dr. Phil Harris returned for this program to discuss US space policy and convening a special White House Conference On Space Enterprise. Guest: Jim Muncy. Topics: Administration's space policy proposal, commercial space. Jim Muncy was our guest for this 90 minute program without a break to discuss the Administration's new space policy proposal. Jim started the discussion saying that the Space Frontier Foundation (SFF) strongly supported the administration policy and that he wanted to help explain the program to us. He said the plan was for opening the space frontier as opposed to the continuation of a centrally planned government directed program.

Guest: Dr. Paul Spudis. Topics: Return to the Moon, VSE Mission Statement, lunar science, NASA, Mars, U.S. public and space exploration. Dr. Paul Spudis returned for this special two hour program to discuss why we should return to the Moon. In Segment 1, Dr. Spudis talked about the Moon as a transitioning resource and our training ground for how we can learn to live and settle in space. He said that the way the VSE has evolved, its gotten away from the true mission of our return to the Moon. This is a discussion that you must hear and its repeated throughout this two hour show.

Broadcast 1122 (Special Edition)

Guest: Dr. Sherry Bell. Topics: Transhumanism, space settlement, sex in space, Department of Space. Dr. Sherry Bell was our guest today to discuss the new Aerospace Technolgy Working Group (ATWG) book, "Living In Space: Cultural And Social Dynamics, Opportunities, And Challenges In Permanent Space Habitats." Dr. Bell told us about several of the chapters including a forward by Dr. Buzz Aldrin and others which separates commercial space from NASA and calls for the establishment of a cabinet level Department of Space.

Guest: Dr. Sam Dinkin was the guest for this Space Show program. We started our Q&A with Sam with an update on his start-up, Space Shot. Here, Sam took us through the game, its current status, and then, in response to a listener question, he did a "lessons learned" from starting this business. This is a must hear discussion and is applicable to more than just Space Shot. We also talked about space in the future. Sam mentioned that, in his opinion, we would likely develop the oceans first, including aquaculture and then develop habitable aerostats.

Guests: Berin Michael Szoka and Will Watson were the guests for this Space Show program. We talked about the new direction and board in place for the Space Frontier Foundation (SFF) and the focus on Web 2.0 for mastering and maximizing the Foundation's vision. This discussion is appropriate for more than just SFF because it puts forth a general plan for how organizations are redefining themselves for the times we are in and the new forms of communication and staying in contact being used by people of all ages, interests, and cultures.

Mark Hopkins was the guest for this Space Show program. Mark began the interview with some National Space Society background but then we jumped right into a discussion about space settlement. This space settlement discussion was the primary topic and focus for this program. Mark Hopkins is very well prepared to discuss the importance of space settlement so don't miss this program as its full of new information and different perspectives.

Brent Sherwood was the guest for this special two hour Space Show program. Mr. Sherwood is a space architect with JPL who has an interest in figuring out what we will do when we return to the Moon, what we can and what we should do on the Moon, he knows about closed loop systems which we will need for lunar and all space settlement and transportation, and he has intriguing theories about the way nations choose their public space programs. We discussed all of these areas with Mr. Sherwood and much more.
