Guest: Taylor Dinerman. Topics: NASA and commercial space; Climategate, China, SSP, space policy. Taylor Dinerman returned for the first program of 2010 which went almost two hours. In segment one, Mr. Dinerman talked about the coming NASA space policy announcement and programs. He suggested there might be a coming "train wreck." Listen to his analysis in this important discussion. Taylor talked about Constellation, politics, the coming 2010 congressional elections, and possible budget fights.

Dr. Richard Kirby returned to the Space Show to discuss New Horizons In Space Science Education. In the process of discussing this topic, we covered many subjects and issues ranging from starting at a very early age, even birth, and making sure people know that they are citizens of the cosmos and without limitation on their imagination and abilities to adult education focusing on math, science, history, and more. Guest: Dr. Nader Elhefnawy. Topics: Space cadet politics, liberal, conservative, and libertarian space politics, space tourism, economic space drivers. Dr. Nader Elhefnawy returned for this Space Show program to discuss his March 16, 2009 Space Review article, "Space Cadet Politics' (www.thespacereview.com/article/1328/1). Dr. Elhefnawy discussed his perspective on why space cadet politics are they way they are (the term space cadet is used in a positive sense in this discussion).

Broadcast 540 (Special Edition)

Charles Miller, CEO of Constellation Services Incorporated (CSI) returned to The Space Show with this program. Mr. Miller began the discussion with an explanation of the COTS program, what it is and what it is not. From there we discussed the two winners and what NASA is obligated to do with the product developed by both or either of the companies. For example, since COTS is not a services acquisition program but instead a demonstration program, there is nothing to sell to NASA as defined by this type of program.
