This Space Show program consists of three interviews back to back separated by about ten plus seconds of silence. Josh Hopkins was interviewed on Tuesday, August 31, Larry Price was interviewed on Wednesday, Sept. 1, and Steve Harrington was interviewed on Thursday, Sept. 2. As you will hear, the Harrington interview was a change of pace and topic discussion from the first two interviews.

Guest: Dr. Pete Worden. Topics: Space policy, NASA Ames, space biology, small sats, inspiration. We welcomed back Dr. Pete Worden, Director of NASA Ames for this special one hour program. We started our discussion with a focus on US space policy and our future in space. Dr. Worden supported the presidential plan and since Congress does not yet have a final, approved policy, we did not address the congressional ideas to date. Dr. Worden explained in detail why the presidential plan was good for our space policy.

Broadcast 1407 (Special Edition)

Guests: Jack McCreary; Paul Lithgow; Dr. Billy Reed. Topics: Reagan Test Center, Comtech Aero Astro projects, Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS), commercial space. This program consists of three back to back interviews from the SmallSat Conference in Logan, Utah for August 2010. The three interviews play with about ten seconds or so between each program. You will hear some background noise though we did our best to hide out in a far corner of the cafeteria for the interviews. Still, students and conference goers are loud, especially when using their cell phones.

Guest: Charles Precourt. Topics: Ares, Constellation, space policy, heavy lift, commercial space. We welcomed back Charlie Precourt to the show for this interview on Monday, August 9, 2010 at ATK offices at Promontory, Utah. During our discussion, Mr. Precourt updated us on the space policy debate regarding the FY 11 space budget, space policy, continuing resolution and more.

Guest: Thalia Kohls. Topics: space policy, space advocacy, women and space exploration, outreach. We welcomed back Thalia Kohls to the program for her perspectives on the current space policy debate, her thoughts on the different participants in the debate, the space enthusiast community, attracting new space cadets to the space bandwagon and more. Our program was in three segments but it was a long one in that it was more than two hours.

Guest: Robert Zimmerman. Topics: Space policy, economics, bats, telecommunications satellite history, commercial space. We welcomed back Bob Zimmerman for this 2.5 hour program in two segments. It was volatile so hold on while listening to it. We started out with Bob telling us how he got the name for his new website, Behind the Black (http://behindtheblack.com). He said the focus was on information and facts, what we know and don't know.
