Guest: Tom Olson. Topics: Summary of 2009 and a look forward to 2010 for space development. Tom Olson returned for our annual summary of space 2009 and our anticipation for what might be ahead for us all for space development in 2010. In our first segment of this two hour program, Tom highlighted Virgin Galactic and Space Ship 2. He also talked about the upcoming launch for Falcon 9 and the fact that Falcon 1 had a successful commercial launch earlier this year. He highlighted Augustine, the business plan competition at NewSpace 2009 and the Space Investment Summits.

Guests: Mark Hopkins and Tim Bailey. Topics: ISDC 2009, NSS, space solar power, continuing education credits. Mark and Tim were our guests today to discuss the upcoming ISDC 2009 in Champions Gate near Orlando, Florida. ISDC 2009 is scheduled for May 28-31, 2009. We discussed much of the programming for the conference, even some unique programming with an Estes rocket competition, continuing education credit, tours of the Kennedy Space Center and much more. Mark also told about the keynote and main speakers which are a representation of Who's Who in space.

Guest: Tom Olson was our guest for this special Space Show program which took a look at space in 2008 to get an idea of what space in 2009 will look like. We started the discussion with an update from Tom on his effort to win clemency for Walt Anderson as President Bush decides these issues before leaving office. Tom explained the process and said it was now just a wait and see what happens. We then shifted to a post on the RocketsandSuch blog (See http://www.rocketsandsuch.blogspot.com/ for more information).

Guest: Shubber Ali was our guest today in order to discuss our economic situation and its fallout for civil and private space, space solar power (SSP), space investment, venture capital, and much more. Several callers asked Shubber questions ranging from how NewSpace Companies should strategize for survival or moving forward given our economic crisis and one caller even asked for models of how aviation companies did it in the 1930s.

Guests: ISDC 2008 Taped Interview #1 with Robert Zimmerman, Dr. Sean Casey, David Faulkner, Reda Anderson, Dr. Haym Benaroya. The first interview features Bob Zimmerman, followed by Dr. Sean Casey with important updates for the NASA SOFIA Project, then David Faulkner who is the Program Manager and CTO for Rocketplane Global. Bob Zimmerman shares his view of the Investment Summit and several important space current events that we discussed. Reda Anderson and Dr. Benaroya were with me for these interviews and also asked questions for these featured guests.

Guest: Open Lines. Our regularly scheduled guest for this program had a last minute emergency, so we converted the show to Open Lines. Our originally scheduled guest, Charles Chafer, will be rescheduled as soon as possible. We led off with an Open Lines listener phone call about chat windows and IM on the show. I described to the listener how to use instant messenger chat to communicate with the show and also stated that we do not provide an organized group chat window.

Guests: Karina Drees and Robert Jacobson were the guests for this program to discuss the upcoming Fourth Space Investment Summit (SIS), Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Washington, DC, the day before ISDC 2008. Karina and Robert discussed the program, the speakers, and the networking opportunities that will take place at this all day meeting.
