Our discussion started with my asking our guest for the path he took to building a space business with a focus on debris and advanced technology robots.  Listen to how his path went through academia.  After this introduction, Jeromy started telling us about Rogue Space, plans objectives, goals and the AI space robots he was developing, plus he talked about his Rogue team and their ongoing value.  While this information is on their website, www.rogue.space.com, we spent significant time on Rogue's plans, the hardware, debris, the market, even why Jeromy considered he did not have competition. This latter topic came up later in the program.  To respond to the competition questions, our guest directed us to the website www.sky.rogue.space.  He did explain what we were looking at and it was so significant in helping him to see that Rogue did not have competition.  What do you think of his explanation?  Post your thoughts on our blog for this show.

In addition to the aerospace business questions asked and answered of our guest, I took the discussion in a different direction to find out about Jeromy and how he sees business and developing his company.  During the first part of the program, our guest talked on and on about his team and the need for community.  When the opportunity came up later in the program, I started asking Jeromy about his team and why they were so special.  You do not want to miss what he said when replying to this question. But more to the point, Jeromy and I talked about business models such as those using teams and employees as opposed to one person businesses drawing on consultants here and there but clearly being a sole proprietorship.  Jeromy had strong feelings backed by substantial experience in presenting the ideas and perspectives he shared with us.  One of the points that he made many times regarding teams was the need to ask for help.  Just listen to what he said about the need to ask for help and why so many won't do it.  Perhaps this explains a lot plus I thought what our guest had to say made lots of sense.  Following our discussion about teams and building a business, I asked about defining success.  My question was rooted in an email discussion I had with a fried and listener in Europe who suggested Elon Musk was a success but others that he knew of because they had been guests on The Space Show were not success when compared to Musk.  I was interested in how Jeromy defined success and just who was and was not a success in the space industry.  Jeromy and I had a good discussion this topic.  He addressed the role of money in defining success but added in much more.  I found it to be a very interesting discussion, one that we don't get to have very often on The Space Show so I was glad to have taken the opportunity to engage with Jeromy on this and other topics.

Other parts of our discussion focused on debris issues, being a service industry customer and why, plus the importance of acting like you are a business.  This latter point proved important as business, investor and common sense behavior came up on the line for our commentary.  Inspiration was a frequent topic as were the descriptions he cited of space with all our satellites since the dawn of The Space Age.
