The Space Foundation Conference

Space Show Listeners for Friday, Sept. 15, 2017:

As you know, I was planning to be at the AIAA Space 2017 Conference in Orlando all this week, followed by a special tour of Kennedy Space Center.  Due to Hurricane Irma, these plans were cancelled.  This cancellation left last minute voids in Space Show programming for the week.  As a result of this, void in programming, I am offering you the opportunity to listen and watch some of my favorite talks from the recent Starship Congress event in Monterey, CA during the first week of August 2017.  Below you will find the specific URL and program description for even event I am suggesting for each Space Show regular programming date.

Please note the following:

  1.  The content of these talks and videos is the property of Icarus Interstellar.  These are not Space Show programs and they will not be archived on The Space Show site.
  2.  Use of these programs with their specific URLs is with permission from the organizers of the Starship Congress event.
  3.  While these are not Space Show programs, nor will they be archived on The Space Show website, you can still use the blog for each suggested program should you wish to comment about the talk.
  4.  If more than one suggested program is listed per date, I suggest you listen and watch the programs in the order listed as that was the order of their presentation at the Congress.
  5. The master website for all the Congress talks is www.youtube.com/channel/UCtNwXHzshExRH3tA0v3y63w/videos

For The Space Show for Friday, Sept. 15, here are my suggested talks for you to listen and watch:

  1.  Starship Congress 2017: Scott Manley, "Games Are Creating A New Generation Of Space Engineers":  www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFW15t4dH4c
  2.  Starship Congress 2017: Damien Turchi, "On the Developmen of a Permanent Lunar Settlement": www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGE3wWzbamg
