As the founder and host of The Space Show and One Giant Leap Foundation, Inc., I want to thank all of you who have so generously supported us during this and previous years. The Space Show owes its existence and success to all of you, listeners and guests alike. Your commitment to space development, commercial space, space science and The Space Show over the past 15 plus years is and has been very special to us all.
The plan for 2017 is for The Space Show to maintain its present program scheduling except they we are going to do more webinars and debates during the year. The Space Show welcomes your ideas for meaningful, relevant, and "doable" debate and webinar topics plus suggestions for participants you want to hear and learn from via Space Show programming.
As you hear on most Space Show programs, your financial support keeps The Space Show going. Without this support, The Space Show will have to scale back its programming and may be forced "to retire" as our production costs keep escalating. Your financial support enables us to continue with our programming schedule and to continue to make our copyrighted content available freely to everyone via the internet. Don't forget, we never take fees from guests to be on the program, even when we are helping a guest promote his/her books, movies, or other IP, including their unique ideas and theories. Make no mistake about it, The Space Show needs your financial support.
The Space Show is a non-profit 501C3 and California Public Benefit Corporation. Our parent 501C3 corporation is the One Giant Leap Foundation (OGLF) (www.onegiantleapfoundation.org). We understand that you have choices in making your tax deductible contributions and we certainly appreciate your including us in your gifting priorities. Contributions to The Space Show should be made through Pay Pal or if by check to One Giant Leap Foundation. New for 2017 we are accepting a few additional Space Show sponsors. The sponsor gets a banner ad placed on The Space Show home page plus I read a 60 second or less sponsor message on each Space Show program (there are a few exceptions such as when we do the 60 minute shows). For information on being a sponsor, email me at drspace@thespaceshow.com. In addition, the Listener Voice option is extended for 2017. If you have something you want to say to The Space Show audience, you can have your one minute or shorter mp3 message placed in the Listener Voices box on the lower right side of the website homepage. You can also change your message quarterly. Contact me for details. Remember, if you pay U.S. federal taxes, you get a tax deduction for your gift. The same is true for those of you paying California taxes as we are both a federal 501C3 nonprofit corporation and a California Public Benefit Corporation. Please check with your tax adviser regarding any and all tax questions that you might have regarding potential OGLF tax deductions. You are also encouraged to contact me with your questions and comments about the show or anything else.
