Welcome to our two hour 7 minute Open Lines program with multiple callers.  By my count, we had six callers for the full program starting with Dr. Doug who talked about his lunar lander display plans for the first Falcon Heavy launch.  Additionally, we talked about the news that Mr. Musk might be thinking about putting a red Tesla on the first FH as payload and send it to orbit around Mars. Doug offered lots of comments about that news item.

Richard Easton called next to preview his upcoming Hotel Mars show regarding the 60th anniversary of the Vanguard rocket.  We spent a few minutes talking Vanguard rocket history, pad explosions, the NRL and the work done b his Dad.  Kim was the next caller. She wanted to know if Interorbital had ever been on the show as she did not find it on her search.  I spent several minutes talking about Rod and Randa Milliron and Interorbital as they are friends and have been on many Space Show programs.  I hope they will return soon.  I also asked Kim about the recent program with Dr. Miguel Alcubierre and her thoughts regarding the interview.  Kim called that program to talk with Miguel about the neutron star explosions and collisions and gravitational waves.

William Kramer was the next caller. He was concerned with possible environmental damage when deep space mining and other space activities when they start. He was calling for industry self-regulation to protect the environment as he assumed out of the gate that there would be environmental damage by the companies involved.  I suggested areas of weakness in his argument, gave him some suggestions, and referenced my older work on a Code of Ethics for Doing Business in Space.  Let us know what you think about William's concerns and ideas by posting on the blog.

John from Ft. Worth was the next caller.  He mentioned a recent article about a Chinese satellite having evidence of Dark Matter.  He thought he saw the article in the G.B. Times.  We also talked about his co-hosing the Alcubierre program from Friday.  John said that Miguel was pretty straight forward mainstream physics.  We talked about negative energy, the horizon bubble and his warp drive work when he was a grad student.  John also mentioned that Miguel had said fusion drives might someday provide a better space drive.  I asked him about Miguel's response to the email about ET visits to Earth and advanced propulsion or new physics.  He said Miguel represented the consensus viewpoint on the subject.

Just before we ended the program, Freemont John got a quick call in regarding Canadian approval of a molten salt reactor.  I gave him the wrong info on the line but he has corrected it with a post on the blog so make sure you see it.

Please post your comments/questions on TSS blog.  Let me know if you want to reach any of the callers or emailers to this program.
