John Batchelor and I welcomed back Doug Messier of Parabolic Arc to discuss the upcoming SpaceX Starship hop test to 15KM. In addition, we talked about the new public information regarding longer duration human spaceflight and mitochondrial changes in the cells that are shown to cause problems with humans in space. This was a one segment Hotel Mars discussion. We spent more time on the human health issue, focusing on gravity and radiation issues, plus the nature of the cell disturbance causing the problem. Doug has a good article on this subject on Parabolic Arc dated Nov. 28, 2020 and titled "Mitochondrial Changes Key to Health Problems In space.
