John Batchelor and I welcomed back Dr. Jeff Foust for updates with the preparation for the Starship demo, test, orbital and beyond flights from Boca Chica, Texas. Note that this was a one segment program. We talked about the launch profile, the Super Heavy first stage and the Starship second stage. John went over the engine clusters for the first and second stage and Jeff provided firing sequence plus stress the challenges of getting everything to work together and on time. Jeff talked about Musk and not being afraid to fail given he learns how to do things through failure. We talked about the first flight to a point in the Pacific near Hawaii for reentry but not recovery. Listen to the explanation for this approach this time. Much time was spent on the engines and the engineering behind the clusters.
