We still have the same argument today but of course the program of record is Artemis to go to the Moon. But Wally was speaking in 2004. Lots more is known today about human medical factors for long duration spaceflight and BLEO flight . Your thoughts are welcome.
B. Elon Musk, second interview on The Space Show dated May 14, 2003 . He had already started SpaceX, a few months prior. https://www.thespaceshow.com/show/14-may-2003/broadcast-119-special-edition Musk did what he said he would do and much more over the years.
