We welcomed back to the show Dr. John Brandenburg for a two segment almost two hour discussion starting with Dr. B talking about his new company, Kepler Aerospace out of Midland, Texas plus his work on his microwave electro-thermal thruster using water vapor as propellant. As he was talking about these subject, Fremont John called to talk about water vapor as a propellant, his thruster work, scaling it up for human spaceflight and asking about the ISP for the thruster. The two John's had a good discussion on these topics, one you will not want to miss. Part of this discussion included Dr. B's GEM Unification Theory which he said has an application with some of the work being done at Kepler Aerospace. Listen to what he said regarding the possibility of doing experiments based on his GEM theory. This led Dr. B to talking about related toxic waste issues resulting in litigation many years involving Area 51. Once again, don't miss what Dr. B had to say on this subject.
I then stepped up the discussion and point blank asked Dr. B why he was on the show today and what he wanted to tell us. He said he finally had scientific closure to his nukes on Mars hypothesis. For the balance of our program, this was the dominant topic but not the only topic. First, Dr. B explained S Process (slow process) and R Process (rapid process) and why this was important. Listen to his explanation but it had to do with Plutonium 244 which is only made in R Process and results in Xenon 132. He said this only happens as far we know with a super nova or a hydrogen bomb explosion (thermo nuclear explosion). He talked about finding the isotopes from R process including Xenon 129 in the Allende Meteorite in Mexico which showed a big spike in Xenon 129. He again talked about the two ways for the Xenon 129 spikes to happen, supernovae and thermo nuclear explosions plus he referenced the imbalance of Xenon 129 on Mars comparing it to other isotopes in the Martian atmosphere. Then he mentioned that the ESA Rosetta Mission which landed on Comet 67P showed the imbalance of Xenon 129. This has led Dr. B to his hypothesis about their having been two giant hydrogen bomb like explosions on mars a long time ago, destroying any possibility of life on the planet. Dr. B's hypothesis is well known as it has been out there for several years. It also has lots of critics though nobody has provide a credible hypothesis to explain the Xenon 129 imbalance on Mars. I asked Dr. B to discuss the objections to his theory and how he would answer these critics. John took us through several other types of explanations for the Xenon 129 ratios on Mars, then he explained why they were not valid. Don't miss this discussion which finally led Dr. B to say that issue was closed given the new information from Comet 67P. In discussing this material and his hypothesis, he talked about R process and isotope security classification because this information was and still is key to making an H-bomb. For the record, I checked with people I know in the industry and either they would not talk with me about it, say they don't know or say that historically this has been highly classified, even to the extent of publishing data that was deliberately bogus. When I asked about other H-bomb capable countries publishing the R process data, I was told the specifics of this are not published by anyone. I was reminded that when one finds this data published, it is not reliable as much of it has been set up to be deliberately misleading.
We moved to another topic, Mach Thrusters and the work being done on this by Dr. Jim Woodward. Jim recently announced progress by 100 fold but that report was not without criticism. We talked about some of the criticism based upon getting the Woodward newsletter. Evidently another Cal St. Fullerton physics professor, Dr. Keith Wanser, replied in the newsletter with a rather sarcastic reply but saying Woodward was wrong. This was picked up by another person on the newsletter list, Dr. Jack Sarfatti who also did not think the report of progress by Woodward was material. Dr. B thought the Woodward report on his Mach thruster work was substantial. Don't miss this discussion with was "enhanced" by a call from Ft. Worth John. Part of the criticism offered by Dr. Sarfatti mentioned that it did not support the Alcubierre Warp Drive Theory. I pointed out that the author of that theory has been on the TSS and has himself said it was only a graduate school project which he says is not even worthy of discussion. His real physics work is in gravity waves. Miguel was a guest on The Space Show and talked about his warp drive theory back on Dec. 1, 2017. Tim from Huntsville sent in an email asking Dr. B about the Electric Universe Theory. t. Worth John was still on the line when I read the email and you could him his gasp when I read the note. Dr. B did discuss the Electric Universe Theory but did not think much of it. We then moved to an email from Larry wanting to know why Dr. B was saying there was now closure to his nukes on Mars hypothesis. Listen to how Dr. B replied to Larry. He even worked in a bit of history with William The Conqueror.
Tim from Huntsville picked up the phone and gave us a call, this time to ask about plasma cosmology and briefly say why he brought up the Electric Universe Theory. Tim also offered Dr. B an alternative explanation for the Xenon 129 on Mars. Dr. B explained why Tim's idea was not valid. Tim then asked Dr. B about fission-fusion hybrid reactors. Dr. B was very enthusiastic about this type of fusion power. Listen to what he said about it and why he thought and still does think it is the way to go with fusion development.
As we were approaching the end of the program, I asked Dr. B to summarize his argument for closure on his Mars nuke hypothesis. In addition, he talked about SETI and explained why making ET contact might not be such a good idea as ET might not be friendly, especially if his hypothesis ever gets confirmed and we learn that some very advanced civilization of some type nuked Mars and destroyed all life on it. I asked Dr. B to talk about why three was no evidence of it given he said some Martians might have come to Earth. He not only talked about some artifacts and structures on Earth but cultural legends and mythology with native Americans and many other diverse cultures that pass on their cultural mythology.
