Welcome to our two segment two hour 10 minute Open Lines program. Once again during the break between the first and second segments I read our sponsor announcements.  Please pay attention to these important messages as our sponsors are key to the success and ongoing broadcasts for The Space Show.  If you are interested in being a sponsor, please email me at drspace@thespaceshow.com.

As usual, I threw out a few discussion topics and then mentioned one regarding a note posted by Mike Snead to the Howard Bloom blog regarding aerospace testing, mainly SpaceX, and their ideas of testing to failure.  Mike had much to say on that concept, I read his note on air, and it proved to be a good topic.  I thank John Jossy for sending me the email because I could not find it while doing the live show.  Mike has been invited to discuss aerospace engineering and testing to failure on The Space  Show.

Our first caller was space attorney Michael Listener wanting to talk about space development in Maine, their wanting a spaceport, all for launching smallsats.  Michael talked quite a bit about space in Maine, the Maine space culture and more.  We will be following spaceport and space development in Maine as Michael updates us from time to time.

Marshall called to talk about having gone to the rocket club meeting in Argonia for the Argonia Rocket Club (www.argoniacup.com).  Marshall thought well of the meet and will be returning, will take pictures for us and will keep us posted on this rocket club event schedule.

Besides sending in the Mike Snead email per above, John called to talk about SpaceX exploration and testing.  He tended to agree with what Mike Snead said in his email but listen to the details talked about by John and others.  . Again, I read it on air.  John then talked about the newly detected largest explosion in the universe since the detection of the Big Bang.  John posted a news article about this on the blog for this program.

At the start of the second segment after the sponsor messages, Ft. Worth John called to correct my comment on the blog for the recent Brandenburg show regarding his call about emergent gravity.  John went on to talk about gravity including string theory, loop gravity, quantum gravity and the traditional gravity understanding through relativity.  If you have questions for John on gravity, please post them on the blog as he is good at responding to blog comments/questions.  Next, John wanted to provide us with his analysis of the corona virus spread. He posted a more current version of his virus analysis on the blog.  Don't hesitate to post your questions and comments on our blog about his virus work.

Our final caller was Moonwards Kim.  Kim initially brought up the shutting down of SETI@home.  We talked about this for several minutes, then I asked Kim if she had thought about showing how disease like the virus might spread on the Moon re her Moonwards work.  Kim then provided us with some disease control issues for lunar gravity, a subject we have never discussed on The Space Show nor do I know of people having thought lots about disease spread in space or in space settlements.  Let us know what you think about this topic and what Kim said. She also posted a blog comment on the subject. Kim then updated us on the Moonwards development program.  She talked about her work with gaming software and the development of collision shapes.  Don't miss her detailed explanation for this topic because if most of you were like me, it will be a new area to be considered.  The final topic included my asking Kim for an update on their rescue of the dog that they found that had been left for dead after being run over by a train.  Kim and her husband saved the dog and from time to time Kim updates us on just how well the dog is doing.  Good for Kim and her husband.  Dogs rule on The Space Show.

Please post your comments/questions on TSS blog for this show.  You can reach any of the callers through me.
