John Batchelor and I welcomed back Bill Harwood of CBS News to discuss the recently held Jeff Bezos news conference where he announced his Blue Moon Lunar Lander project, talked about going to the Moon and his space industry vision. Bill talked about the Blue Moon Lunar Lander and went over its specs and capabilities. He also talked about other competitors wanting to bid on the lunar lander project via the NASA bidding process. Bill talked about Jeff's lunar plans, also Blue Origin and the development of the large New Glenn rocket. He also talked about Musk and SpaceX lunar plans and Mars. SLS and Orion were part of the discussion as was the lunar Gateway project. Bill talked about the differences in the Blue Moon Lunar Lander for carrying people to the lunar surface as compared to only cargo. Other topics came up during this one segment 11 minute Hotel Mars discussion.
