We welcomed back Dr. M.E. (Mike) McCulloch to the show for updates regarding his research on EmDrive and in the fields of dark matter/dark energy.  During our 90 minute one segment program, we started out with EmDrive.  Mike has just published a new reviewed paper on the subject which you can find here:  http://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1209/0295-5075/118/34003/meta.  His paper is titled "Testing Quantised inertia on emdrives with dielectrics."  Most of the first part of our program focused on Emdrive and they physics of how it probably works (assuming it does work).  Mike's discussion was comprehensive, covered many physics related topics and components involved in EmDrive and competing theories.  Listeners asked Mike several questions via phone calls plus email.

Some of the key word topics we talked about included Unruh radiation, conservation of momentum laws, new physics, photons, microwaves, the conical shape of the EmDrive and more.  We also digressed a few times to mention the new CBS TV show featuring an EmDrive to save the world from an incoming extinction event asteroid.  The CBS program is called "Salvation."  When John form Ft. Worth called, we started talking about the work of Dr. Jim Woodward on Mach thrusters.  Lasers and masers were introduced to our discussion by caller Marshall.  Bending space time was yet another part of our discussion.

As we entered the latter part of the program, I asked Mike about his newly published work on dark matter and energy.  You can read his new published paper here:  www.researchgate.net/publication/317905333_Galaxy_rotations_from_quantised_inertia_and_visible_matter_only.  This paper is titled "Galaxy rotations from quantised inertia and visible matter only."  In addition, Mike mentioned one of his college lectures on the topic being a YouTube video.  You can see the YouTube video here:  www.youtube.com/watch?v=1itasiXNUPg.  His lecture

is titled "Introduction to quantised inertia."  Much of what Mike said in this section of the dealt with spinning galaxies and related topics.  Don't miss this discussion It is different but also most interesting.

I asked Mike about new developments in breakthrough propulsion. Mike mentioned several efforts going on around the world but he did not complete up to date information on them. The same was true for the two crowdfunding projects with the goal of putting a working EmDrive in space.

Please post your comments/questions for Dr. Mike on The Space Show blog for this program.  You can reach Mike through his university webpage, his published papers,  or me.
