We welcomed Ron Jones and Christine Nobbe to the show to discuss the upcoming NSS ISDC Conference to be held in St. Louis from May 25-29 2017.  To follow our discussion, find out more about ISDC 2017, register and make your plans, please visit http://isdc2017.nss.org.  We originally planned for a 60 minute format show but we extended it to 1 hour 13 minutes in one segment.

We started our discussion with Christine providing us with an ISDC overview.  We talked about several of the segments focusing on space settlement, returning to the Moon, asteroids, human factors plus more.  Both our guests highlighted many of the keynote and major speakers but with more than 100 such speakers, we did not get a chance to talk about each one of them.  It is an impressive list which you can check out on the ISDC website.

One area of focus that our guests talked about was the ISDC Exhibit Hall. Also, there is still space available if you have a company or business that you would like to promote at the ISDC.  Christine provided her email address on air several times so if the Exhibit Hall interests you, contact her.

Besides talking about the tracks and special subjects, as I said earlier, we highlighted several of the keynote and major speakers.  The ISDC covers every imaginable space industry topic so by being at the event, you have the opportunity to be brought current on just about every significant space issues being discussed or considered today.

Conference logistics were mentioned including hotel accommodations which are still available but will not be for long.  Our guests said there were special day rates, student rates, even a retirement registration rate.  Our guests described the special evening programs, the dinner, and the films being shown at the event.  As you will hear and you can see them on the ISDC website, there are special tours you can take.  If you come to St. Louis with your family, there will be much for them to do while you are attending conference tracks and events.  Ron took the opportunity to talk about the new Integrated Space Plan which is being released at this year's ISDC.

As with all ISDC events, networking is important and will be at this event as well.  You will have ample time for meeting the speakers, the keynotes and those attending ISDC.  It is one of the best networking opportunities in the space community so don't miss out on it.

Listeners asked several questions but one focused on how to become an ISDC speaker at a future event.  Don't miss what our guest said about this as they put for the path forward if this interests you.  Our guests each offered closing comments and Pearls of Wisdom as we closed the program.   Be sure to listen to what our guests had to say in closing.

Please post your comments/questions on TSS blog.  You can reach either guest through me.
