During our one segment 86 minute program (we had planned on an hour but it went long), Dr. Hynes talked about many of the keynote speakers, their significance and many of the panel programs.  She talked extensively about this year's theme for the Symposium, "We Will Not Stop."  Don't miss her explanation of the meaning behind this most applicable and unique theme for commercial space development.  Later in the segment, she talked about having gone to a designer in Copenhagen not just for website design but to "domesticate space."  Don't miss the explanation behind this term and what it means for space education outreach beyond the space community.  Included in the domestication of space is the language used to bring space alive.  Another related topic our guest spoke about was purging the space industry of bias, even in employment advertisements and job descriptions.  You don't want to miss this discussion.

We also talked event logistics.  Flying to El Paso, TX is the best way to get to Las Cruces by air.  The event hotel is the Encanto and there are still rooms available at the event price.  Our guest also talked about the events both ahead of the symposium and after the symposium.  Pat described the Summit on The Power of Inclusion to be held on Friday at Spaceport America.  In addition, she mentioned the Tuesday programs including the FAA COE-CST Technical Meeting and the evening Opening Reception.  You can look at the Agenda for the entire Symposium week at www.ispcs.com/agenda.php.  Check out the full list of speakers at www.ispcs.com/speakers.php.  The main website address which includes information on registration, hotels, and transportation is www.ispcs.com

Please post your comments/questions in the comments section for this archived show on TSS website.  You can reach Dr. Pat Hynes or other event officials through the ISPCS website or me.
