Richard Westfall was the scheduled guest for this Space Show program discussing the developing field of telepossession. Unfortunately, Mr. Westfall fell ill during the first part of the program and was unable to continue after the first break. Please see the newsletter for when he has been rescheduled. We began the balance of the program with Open Lines and then Jeff Birks called in from the United Kingdom. Jeff, a previous Space Show guest and the provider of our additional streaming bandwidth sites for the Space Ship One Mojave X-Prize flights, was the sole guest for the balance of the program. Jeff updated us on the many things happening in the U.K and Europe regarding space exploration and development. We also received updates on the Mars Rovers, the mission to Mercury, the planned Beagle 3 mission and much more. I asked Jeff for his UK perspective on the Space Vision proposed by President Bush, the likelihood of it moving forward from the British and European perspectives and for his insights on how the European involvement and their attitude toward Iraq and the war on terror might influence their space exploration and development programs. We are happy to report that Mr. Westfall is doing much better and looking forward to his return to The Space Show. We are most appreciative for Jeff Birks picking up the ball and calling the program to give us some very interesting and timely comments, observations, and perspectives from across the Atlantic Ocean.
