This program is the X Prize Cup 2007 series of interviews readied for the Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007 Space Show. In addition to the introduction to this special program, there are five separate interview tracks/panel discussions. They run continuously for about 2.5 hours without a break. However, you will know when each interview ends as the guest or the panel is appropriately thanked and the next guest or panel is introduced.
Ed Wright returned to The Space Show for a very interesting conversation on many important topics. We started the interview talking about COTS. Ed gave us valuable insights and perspectives to apply to our understanding of the COTS program so don't miss this discussion. We talked extensively about returning to the Moon. Here too, Ed had much to say so don't miss it. Ed talked about the value of the private sector working with the military and the military space plane.
Ed Wright returned to The Space Show for this program to discuss the state of the suborbital industry and much more. We had an extensive discussion of the private-sector and space access, focusing on Space Ship One, the X-Prize, and other possible X-Prize winners such as the Canadian teams. Mr. Wright explained his program, the details of which will soon be announced, regarding his space tourism suborbital vehicle, the Archangel. Ed discussed his proposed program which will involve space training and much more.
Pat Bahn and Ed Wright are working with the newly formed Suborbital Institute to further legislation, regulation, insurance, liability, and other relevant issues to expedite the creation of this commercial space industry. This Space Show program talks in-depth about suborbital space flight, the prospects for this new industry, and the work being undertaken by the Suborbital Institute. In addition, Mr. Wright explains in detail the prospects for rocket racing, its current status, and it commercial potential.
