Dr. Robert Zubrin returned for this Space Show program to provide us with his assessment of the Augustine Commission's report and to put in context his goals and vision for our space program. In our first segment, Dr. Zubrin said that the Augustine Commission failed by not presenting a plan of action . Our entire segment was devoted to this discussion as was much of our program. Heavy lift was brought up and he said we would go nowhere in space without it.

Both Dr. Zubrin and Chris took us through the list of major speakers and programming and we elaborated on many, including the unusual religion and space panel which will be held on Saturday, August 16th.

Bob's plan is simple and straight forward. Congress needs to enact legislation which requires all vehicles sold in the US in five years have flex fuel capable engines.

Dr. Robert Zubrin was the returning guest for this Space Show program. We began our discussion with Bob with a focus on the upcoming 10th Annual Mars Society Conference which will be held on the UCLA campus over the Labor Day weekend 2007. Dr. Robert Zubrin returned to The Space Show for this program. Dr. Zubrin began the discussion with a critique of the way NASA is running the Moon-Mars program. He is very concerned that this program as it is currently structured will not survive into the next administration and and he has a plan to alter the way NASA is doing the mission to assure success. Bob makes a very strong case for his plan to go to the Moon and on to Mars rather than the current NASA plan. His presentation is clear and articulate and you need to hear what he has to say and why he is saying it.

Dr. Robert Zubrin, founder of The Mars Society and noted author, was the guest on this edition of The Space Show. Dr. Zubrin discussed major elements with the new space policy initiative proposed by Pres. Bush and now being considered by various agencies, committees, and organizations. Dr. Zubrin went into some detail regarding NASA, congress, and the technical parameters of the proposed program, stating clearly that it was just a first step among many that would need to be taken to realize getting humans to Mars.
