Dr. Eligar Sadeh returned to The Space Show to update us on the recent National Space Forum which was held in Washington, DC. in early February 2008. Dr. Sadeh summarized most of the panels and presentations at the Forum, so we addressed U.S. space policy for the upcoming administration, U.S. space leadership and its effectiveness, space commerce, and civil space. It was brought to his attention that many attending the Forum were disappointed that NewSpace / alt.space were not a significant focus of any of the Forums. Guest: Dr. Eligar Sadeh. Dr. Eligar Sadeh, of the Air Force Academy's Eisenhower Center for Space and Defense Studies, was the guest for this Space Show program. We started the program by asking Dr. Sadeh to tell us about the upcoming "National Space Forum 2008: Space Challenges Facing The New American Administration Of 2009," which will be held Feb. 7-8, 2008 in Washington DC. This Forum is sponsored by the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) and the Eisenhower Center for Space and Defense Studies. Eligar took us through the forum's agenda and main speakers.

This is the first of two AIAA Space 2007 conference interview programs. This set of interviews includes discussion by Debra Facktor Lepore, President of Air Launch, LLC, Dr. Eligar Sadeh and his wife Chris, and Dr. Mike Gruntman, professor at USC. Debra updates us with Air Launch LCC news, Eligar is now a professor at the USAF Academy and has also started a private consulting business, and Dr. Gruntman talks about his educational ideas for space engineering improvements at the college level. Dr. Eligar Sadeh returned for this Space Show program. Our discussion focused on the management content implemented at NASA with the NASA Administrator, Dr. Mike Griffin. Dr. Sadeh is concerned that the management being implemented at NASA contains within it some very destructive elements and he discusses these elements on the show. We also discussed private and public partnerships for space development, including the space advocate community side by side with the large aerospace industry and NASA. In our discussions regarding NASA management and Dr.

Dr. Eligar Sadeh helped us bring election returns and space policy ramifications to Space Show from election results to Space Show listeners. We discussed the likely direction space policy will take depending on who became president. We talked about the future of NASA, a possible change in the NASA administrator should Kerry have won, the fate of the emerging entrepreneurial space companies, the large aerospace industry and more. We talked about the international aspects of the new space policy vision articulated by President Bush last January. Dr.

Dr. Eligar Sadeh, an Assistant Professor in the Space Studies Department, Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences at the University of North Dakota, was the guest for this March 26, 2003 Space Show program. Dr. Sadeh has just published a new book, Space Politics and Policy: An Evolutionary Perspective. During this program, we discuss the views, perspective, and new information presented in this book, but also world events and their impact on space policy.
