The Space Foundation Conference

Broadcast 1400 (Special Edition)

Guest: Dr. Chris Impey. Topics: Astronomy, how the sun and the universe end and issues to consider before that happens. We welcomed Dr. Chris Impey of the University of Arizona Dept. of Astronomy to the show to discuss his new book, "How It Ends: From You To The Universe." You can order this book from the OGLF website and Amazon will make a contribution to The Space Show/OGLF. Please use the URL www.amazon.com/dp/0393069850?tag=onegialeafou-20.

Broadcast 1338 (Special Edition)

Guest: Eric Lerner. Topics: Dense Plasma Focus (DPF) fusion, fusion energy in general. Eric Lerner was our guest to discuss his work with DPF fusion energy and cosmology. In our first segment, Eric provided us with an update and overview from his last appearance on The Space Show which was in August 2006. Eric explained DPF and responded to the frequent question which is why start with boron and hydrogen fuel when the deuterium tritium reaction is much easier. You will certainly want to listen to his explanation of this.

Broadcast 1044 (Special Edition)

Guest: Louise Riofrio was the guest for this Space Show program. We started our discussion with out-of-the-box cosmology theories on the speed of light. She postulated theories about this represented by the equation, GM+TC^3. Check out her blog/website ( http://riofriospacetime.blogspot.com ) for details on this theory and the rest of her cosmology research. Louise talked with us about space and time being the same and said we were hardwired to equate space and time. Do not miss this discussion.

Broadcast 998 (Special Edition)

Guest: Glen Robertson was the guest for this Space Show program to discuss the upcoming The Space Propulsion & Energy Sciences International Forum (SPESIF) conference in Huntsville, AL from Feb. 24-27, 2009. Please visit http://www.ias-spes.org/SPESIF.html for online registration and details. As we learned, this conference is the successor to the very well-known and established STAIF conference previously sponsored by the University of New Mexico and held in Albuquerque, NM.

Broadcast 925 (Special Edition)

Guest: Dr. Ethan Siegel was the guest for this Space Show program. Dr. Siegel is an astrophysicist at the University of Arizona and thus was highly qualified for the cosmological discussion which made up most of this program. We began our discussion with good working definitions for both cosmology and astrophysics. As you will hear, Dr. Siegel is a superb teacher and the use of humor weighs in strongly in how he presents his information, including from his website http://startswithabang.com.

Broadcast 532 (Special Edition)

Eric Lerner returned for this Space Show program to continue discussing cosmology and alternative theories. In addition to the cosmology discussion, we also talked about the politics of publishing, getting funded, and the peer review process. This is a powerful discussion that will not want to miss. This special show is a one hour program, all commercials are at the end of it. You can learn more about Eric Lerner and his at the websites listed in his bio and also at www.cosmology.info.

Broadcast 529 (Special Edition)

Eric Lerner returned for this Space Show program. We began the interview with Eric updating us on his fusion work and an AFRL report on propulsion using similar technology to what Eric researches. We then turned our attention to cosmology with an in-depth discussion of black holes and new theories that impact the Big Bang theory. I must say that Eric Lerner is brilliant and amazing and you must hear this program. He was so interesting that we are continuing this discussion Aug. 3, 2006 from 9:30-10:30AM PDT. Don't miss it.
