Tom Olson, CEO of the Colony Fund, began the discussion this evening with an update regarding the Colony Fund. Given that his program will soon be going through public SEC registration, Tom must continue to be discrete and virtually silent on what is happening with the Fund. However, in response to questions, he talked about investment criteria, including opportunities from other countries, ITARS and more. We went into some detail on his view of the recently passed HR 5382, the suborbital space tourism industry, Virgin Galactic, space entrepreneurism, the new space vision of President Bush, the shuttle and its return to flight, plus other related subjects. Tom also offered his projection on who the next NASA administrator will be. He was asked a very pointed question about his contribution to space advocate organizations and Tom provided an interesting answer. This was a great program to close out the year and we look forward to welcoming him back next year, especially with the program about how governments have messed up opportunities that would have contributed to our efforts to become space-faring. All governments are fair game for this program and suggestions and contributions are welcome so send them to either Tom or me.
