Feedback: What did you think of this show?:
Listeners:
Due to the extremely hot and dry weather where I live in Sonoma County in Northern California, we are under a standby alert for our electric utility company, PG&E, to shut off power ountil the weather conditions change. Yesterday three counties were blacked out with complete power shutdowns, all north and east of Sonoma. My area is currently under a standby alert for today and tomorrow, Sept. 24-25, 2019. PGE may or may not give advance notice in cutting off the power. If an advance notice is given, I will be able to properly cancel scheduled programming and post a note about it here on the website. If PG&E does not provide ample advance notice, we may just go dark without canceling programming or posting information for you the listener.
Please regard this notice as a possible explanation should you tune in for a show in the next few days and find nothing going on. The same should you try to call us, text me or use email for in a total power shutdown, cell phones will not work nor will there be any internet service.
I am hoping my part of Petaluma is spared a power shutdown but as of this morning, it is too early to tell. For those of you intereseted in this unique approached approved by the PG&E federal bankruptcy judge and the state PUC plus the governor and all, here is the PG&E emergency information website: https://www.pge.com/en_US/safety/emergency-preparedness/natural-disaster... I live and broadcast The Space Show out of Southern Sonoma in Petaluma, CA.
As of the time of writing this advisory message, Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 9:20 AM PDT, I am planning on broadcasting the Tuesday evening show as planned and the Friday morning porgram. If this changes with later information, I will do my best to update the situation with a new advisory message.
Thank you for your understanding.
