Broadcast 3828 Greg Klerkx | Friday 18 Feb 2022
Listeners: While I am off with family for Thanksgiving week 2023, there will be a special Golden Oldie suggestion for your listening pleasure on our broadcasting days. I hope you enjoy my selections. But first, an important word about The Space Show for next year.
The Space Show has now embarked upon its annual fundraising campaign as a 501C3 nonprofit to fund the coming year of Space Show programming and activity. As a listener supported program, The Space Show and all our listeners and guests depend on one another to support the program and keep it broadcasting. 2024 will be our 23 year of broadcasting the program. I hope you understand that we need your support. While I say this on each program and each year, I never meant it more than now as I am for the coming year. Coming out of the pandemic and the worsening economy for many of us, myself included, we barely raised the funds for 2023 to keep us alive. We did not have the funds to implement changes that we wanted to make but we have made it through and we will do so for the rest of the year. We also managed to handle our equipment issues and repairs but again, adding somewhat simple new features to the broadcast such as a Zoom audio and special Zoom room feature were out of reach for us.
If you like our programming, the opportunity to mix it up live with the guests and even other callers or those sending in an email, please make a tax free donation at this time to help us keep going in 20224. There is a PayPal link in the upper right corner of our home page which is the easiest way to make a contribution. For U.S. donors only, you can use Zelle by using our OGLF email address, david@onegiantleapfoundation.org. This sends the donation directly to the OGLF Chase bank account. If you want to mail a check, please make it payable to One Giant Leap Foundation and send it to OGLF in care of me at 11035 Lavender Hill Dr, Ste. 160-306, Las Vegas, NV 89135. If you are a federal tax payer, you should get a tax deduction for your donation but do check with your own tax team for details relevant to you. If you are interested in advertising or being a sponsor, email me at drspace@thespaceshow.com
Once again, The Space Show is calling upon you to help us go into and complete 2024, make some important changes, add some features such as Zoom but we can't do any of it without your help.
Thank you very much.
Now for today's Golden Oldie, I am presenting two program, one for today and one on Sunday, by the same author, Greg Klerkx, initially on in 2004 and then again in 2022 for a check on what he wrote almost two decades earlier.
