John Batchelor and I welcomed back Dr. Robert Zubrin for this one segment ten minute important discussion regarding Bob's new book, "The Case For Space." Our discussion focused on opening up the New Frontier which is space, the role of the entrepreneurial private sector and NASA, how best to do human spaceflight going forward and using the entrepreneurs and their innovations. We talked about the Dragon capsule for going to the Moon, the Falcon Heavy rocket, the Falcon 9, SLS and even Orion. Bob told us why the lunar Gateway was not a great idea for either the Moon or Mars. John asked Bob about the Chinese space program and we talked about the many reasons for maintaining American space leadership. Bob concluded the segment by saying we go to space for knowledge, security, and our future. In Bob's book, he discusses these reasons and more in Part 2, specifically Chapters 9-14. These are a must read for us all.
