John Batchelor and I welcomed back Rand Simberg to discuss the Vast Space Systems artificial gravity commercial space station to be launched in 2025 with later versions using artificial gravity at the lunar gravity rate.  Rand talked about the previously high launch costs having been a deterrent to private station development but that the cost now was making it an affordable industry.  We talked about some of the competitors such as Axiom and for now using a high ISS orbit and why.  Rand suggested that the risks of the excessive or regressive regulations developing was a big concern. He talked about the challenges between the FAA  and the Dept. of Commerce for regulatory approval and more of this industry which included his commentary on using the NASA standard of human astronaut certification.  Rand mentioned that he thought eventually Starship would launch from an ocean platform. Other topics were mentioned in this one segment Hotel Mars program.
