John Batchelor and I welcomed James Bennett to the program to discuss the three heavy lift rockets being made in the US, SLS, New Glenn, and Starship. In addition, John talked about the recent joint announcement about a Russian-Chinese lunar colony to be built at the lunar South Pole in the coming decade(s). James talked about the pros and cons of each of the three rockets, plus he assessed their progress now and in the future. Be sure you listen to all his commentary, especially regarding SLS and New Glenn. Note his analogy with SLS and The Lord of The Rings story. Near the end of this one segment ten minute discussion, while talking about Starship, he said it would be the DC3 of solar system travel for a long time to come. In talking about New Glenn, he said it aimed more at servicing O'Neillian colonies, a primary focus and goal of Jeff Bezos and Blue Origin.
