Welcome to this last minute Open Lines program which replaced our intended guests from Embedded Ventures due to a time zone conversion problem. I am looking forward to rescheduling the Embedded Ventures guests so check the upcoming schedules to see when that program will take place.  After starting this program and talking about upcoming programming, our first caller reached out to us with commentary focusing on UAPs and Tic Tac.  Ft. Worth John called to talk about Christopher Mellon starting to put pressure on the U.S. Airforce to disclose their UAP information.  John had a lot to say that it was not reasonable to consider the Air Force had no such experiences, only the Navy.  I guess we will find out over time if the Air Force does step up and disclose information on this subject.  John's call let to my asking him a question about the Tic Tac perspective of Dr. Steven Greer as explained to me on a recent interview program I did titled "Far Out With Faust."

After John's call, I talked about upcoming special interviews planned for The Space Show and I updated listeners with plans on my possible move to the Las Vegas area.  I also asked for feedback on the Golden Oldie programs I posted for play while I was out of town during the week of my son's wedding. Just as I was about to close the program for the day given the absence of calls and emails, I took a call from Tony in Pasadena who wanted to talk about multiple things. First, he said he did hear the Wally Schirra Golden Oldie I posted while gone.  We had a good mini-discussion about Wally, then Tony talked about the upcoming Polaris Dragon human spaceflight series of three crewed flights per the Superbowl announcement and commercial. We talked about Tony's comment that younger people were not inspired or that supportive of the Polaris flights, we talked about education, history and inspiration.  I commented that from interviews I have been doing in recent years that there seemed to be a difference in K-12 and undergrad college work in terms of inspiration, vision, big picture thinking and such from prior years.  Tony added his perspective which was along the lines of mine.  We talked at length about the Polaris 3 flight missions which you can read about here: www.theverge.com/2022/2/14/22932157/spacex-jared-isaacman-crew-dragon-starship-deep-space.  The story has also posted on multiple news sites. Our caller also said that he thought the media was doing a better job on space news in recent times that in the past.  Tony mentioned that the early astronauts had undergone some special training at Griffith Observatory and he talked about commercial space in Downey, CA.  Before closing, Tony again suggested that the mainstream media was improving on their space coverage of late but could still do better reporting on exciting, inspiring projects.

Tony was the last caller for the day.  I summarize this program and saved it for the archives.  If you want to reach Ft. Worth John or Tony, let me know and I will introduce you.  You can also post a note to them on the blog as I believe they will answer and respond to you.  Please post any comments or questions related to this show on our blog for this program.
