You can read the article at Our discussion with Darrell as well as his article explains how Elon and SpaceX got Texas and Brownsville to compete with offers and benefits to get SpaceX to build a launch site near Brownsville. As you will both read and hear, Texas is competing hard for space businesses to come to the Lone Star State. Its an interesting story. In my opinion, "enlightened" states understand the benefits of going after commercial space companies for the future of their state.
