John Batchelor and I welcomed back retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Steven Kwast to discuss the Space Force standing up and starting operations. This was a very important two segment Hotel Mars program. Be sure to hear it. Gen. Kwast talked about the Space Force starting operations, the congressional mandate for the Space Force mission, and the smothering of the Space Force by traditional perspectives and the AF culture. Gen. Kwast argued for a broader view, a different style of leadership and not to go to bed with the AF and traditional military culture. He talked about the need for a broader view, broader acceptance of culture, the threat form China, the Space Force mission, plus he compared the Space Force mission to Rickover's nuclear navy and navy missions over traditional Army and ground missions which he thought was the direction being taken by the Space Force at this time. Don't miss a word of this program as Gen. Kwast offered us powerful and important insights into how the Space Force is evolving and what he believes should be the path of the Space Force for today's world and our future.
