The Space Foundation Conference

Feedback: What did you think of this show?:

Wally Schirra and Ed Buckbee returned to The Space Show to discuss their new book, "The Real Space Cowboys." This is a must read for anyone interested in our Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo space programs. The book, published by Apogee, includes a terrific DVD with lots of new material, some of it quite funny. Not only did Wally and Ed talk about their experiences and the history which they each lived, we discussed issues of current importance for our becoming space-faring. These topics included leadership, congress, today's NASA, education and outreach, private sector and space flight realities, rockets and much needed new technologies including nuclear, and so much more. This is a great interview, historic, and one you will not want to miss. And after you hear it, get their book. I promise you it will be one of the best if not the best space read you will have had in a long time. Listeners can contact Wally and Ed through their respective websites as they give out their URLs at the end of the show. As always, listeners can contact them both through me using drspace@thespaceshow.com.
