John Cserep serves as the head of the Space Frontier Foundation's Message & Policy Committee. During this program, we discussed possible policy scenarios regarding the International Space Station (ISS), the Shuttle, the Orbital Space Plane, and previous efforts by NASA to build a replacement space transportation vehicle such as X-33. We discussed the capabilities of the private sector, specifically the newer and smaller launch companies in comparison to the large aerospace companies, to handle all space access between Earth and the Moon, the plausibility of making use of asteroid resources and property rights in space, as well as the CAIB and the issues around NASA culture. Mr. Cserep also talked about the need for leadership and vision within NASA, the political arena, and from the population.
