John Batchelor and I welcomed back Eric Berger, the senior space editor at Ars Technica, to discuss SpaceX Starship testing, steel alloy testing in the tanks, flight tests, upcoming tests, Super Heavy to orbit and more. Eric explained the tank testing to find the right steel allow for spaceflight. We talked about the mass of the steel so don't miss how Eric explained higher mass in steel but in the end seeing that it works out better for SpaceX. We talked about the different tests so far, the flight altitude achieved in the tests and the advances coming up later in October. Boca Chica came up in regards to SpaceX wanting to buy out the remaining home and property owners given SpaceX wants the land and says it is too risky to be there given the dangers of launch. Also discussed were orbital plans using the Super Heavy. This was a one segment about 11 minute discussion.
