I started this Open Lines discussion with the usual announcements but I added in that this was the unofficial start of the 2023 annual Space Show/OGLF fundraising campaign.  The formal start of the campaign will be the week starting Monday, Nov. 21, 2022.  The 2023 campaign is very important as it funds The Space Show for 2023 as we are a listener supported nonprofit 501C3 program.  Remember, we have a large PayPal link at the top of our home page, www.thespaceshow.com, plus if you want to use a check, please make it payable to One Giant Leap Foundation, then mail it to One Giant Leap Foundation, C/O Dr. David Livingston, 11035 Lavender Hill Drive, Ste. 160-306, Las Vegas, NV  89135-2955.  Thank you.

While this was a regular Open Lines program, it was also special in that I asked listeners to share with us personal stories on how The Space Show had impacted them or perhaps an interesting event happened with them revolving around The Space Show.  Several listeners did call in to respond to The Space Show's impact on them and I hope many more will share their experiences on our blog for this show.

Ft. Worth John called first to tell us that he used the Amazon SMILE program for most of his purchases, he told us how it worked and gave it a good plug.  If any of you are interested in using it and have questions, please email me.  John also talked about the upcoming Artemis 1 SLS launch and also the upcoming congressionally mandated special UAP report.  Following John's call, we heard from Dr. Doug in Southern California, both as to his Space Show experience plus since he was at the recent Mars Society Conference, I asked him for a summary of the event.  Doug had much to say about The Space Show impact on his role in space advocacy so I urge you to listen to what he had to say.  Regarding the Mars Society, he talked about two Mongolian speakers and I now have their contact info so I will invite them to be guests on the show.  Doug's call was interesting and timely, both as to Space Show events and history that impacted him plus his commentary on The Mars Society.  Following Doug's call, we had a caller from Philadelphia that commented on Doug at the Mars Society event, space agriculture and more.  Both Doug and the caller after him did do a good job of summarizing the Mars Society plus they provided some interesting websites for presenters that got their attention.

Our next caller, Fremont John, also shared a personal impact story around The Space Show.  Don't miss his story, what he had to say about his blog and space settlement, plus events he participated in along the way that he found out about on The Space Show, including The Alliance for Space Development with Charles Miller.  Before ending our discussions and the show, the subject of a permanent human presence on the Moon was talked about.  All of our callers were on with us for long phone calls and this Open Lines show at 1 hour 44 minutes was about 20 minutes shorter that most as its not uncommon for Open Lines programs to run two hours or more.

Please post your comments/questions and your personal Space Show impact stories on our blog for this program.  Remember we are now in our Annual Fundraising Campaign to support The Space Show for 2023.  If you like the program, our live format, being able to talk with and interact with our guests and an individual blog for each show and topic, please help us out with a donation.  As a nonprofit 501C3 you do get a tax deduction for your gift if you are a U.S. taxpayer.  Please see our PayPal button at the top of our home page, www.thespaceshow.com, or send a check made payable to One Giant Leap Foundation, 11035 Lavender Hill Drive, Ste. 160-306, Las Vegas, NV  89135-2955.  Thank you.  If you want to contact any of our callers, please let me know.
