John Batchelor and I welcomed Doug Loverro to this two segment discussion on the need for the U.S. to establish a Space Force.  We discussed what a Space Force would do, why the US needs one, and the best way to start a Space Force vis a vis the USAF.  John asked several questions about Space Force actions in scenarios with human development and settlement on Mars with SpaceX. Also returning to the Moon.  We talked about China and Russia and asked if we should be concerned about their space activities and plans.  Doug spent time helping us to understand the USAF organizational side of things regarding space, plus why he suggested we start out creating a separate Space Force division under the wing the AF rather than as a new standalone military service.  He favored the Marines and the Navy example for space and the AF.  Multiple other topics were brought up regarding regulations, culture, law, defense, space militarization and more.
