John spent a good part of the program discussing the early findings regarding the composition of the Bennu sample return mission in the context of it being a CI Chondrite group as he said Ryugu was. In addition, he talked about the Bennu orbit and its relationship to Mars plus the suggestions for life detection given the presence of water.  As a note to this program, the Hotel Mars program for Wednesday, Oct. 11 features Dr. Harold Connolly who is part of the Bennu science team.  This specific Hotel Mars program will focus on the Bennu sample return composition.  Let’s see if Harold also points to the CI chondrite group, water, and a relationship to Mars. 

Later in the discussion, listener Karen in Denver sent in a note wanting to ask John about his nuclear bomb theory for Mars.  John responded to her question in the context of this particular interview.  Marshall called with several questions and comments for John. That said, for the most part, Marshall wanted to know how one determines the Frost Line in the solar system which is between Jupiter and Mars.  Don’t miss what John had to say in response to Marshall’s question.  Finding life on Mars came up with John suggesting multiple questions to answer.  He started off talking about the young sun. Avi Loeb became a program topic with a question from Benny out of Phoenix.  Benny wanted to know what Avi found.  Once again, note that Avi will be a guest on the program Oct. 20.  John had lots to say about iron, various isotopes and composition relationships which he said were not “earthly.’  John also talked about the less than common mix of titanium and aluminum and steel alloy found.  Thorium, lithium, uranium, and beryllium were talked about plus the incoming speed of the item that crashed in the water being searched by Avi and his team. Listener Josh brought up the UAP/UFO hearing in Congress wanting John’s opinion on them. Don’t miss what John said about the hearings.  Ft. Worth John called to inquire about the size of the object that Avi was searching for with his underwater magnetic sled.
