Brian Enke joined The Space Show as the guest for this special program. Mr. Enke discussed his new science fiction mystry book, "Shadows of Medusa." In discussing this book and its plot, issues relating to sending humans to Mars came up as the book is about three people going to Mars, but with substantial intrigue and secret agendas. In terms of talking about Mars, we discussed water, methane, and the possibility of life on Mars, the culture of risk aversion in our society, engineering, humans versus robots and lots more.

Dr. Chris McKay, a Planetary Scientist with the Space Science Division of NASA Ames, was the guest for this Space Show program. Dr. McKay talked about the possibility of life on Mars, information being gleaned from the rovers, the impact of the meaning of methane on Mars and much more. In having dedicated his career to finding life on Mars, he was asked about the impact on the search for life in the solar system should it be confirmed that there never has been and is not now life on Mars.

Dr. Michael Gaffey was the guest on this edition of The Space Show. Dr. Gaffey explained to Space Show significance the findings to date regarding the Mars rovers and their discoveries. We talked about the potential for life on Mars now, in Mar's past history, and even the old Viking experiments that searched for life. We talked about the possible event(s) that changed the Martian atmosphere to what it is today and the significance of that change for us here on Earth.

Dr. John Brandenburg, a researcher and professor with the Florida Space Institute, was the guest on this Space Show program. Dr. Brandenburg thoroughly discussed the possibilities of bacterial life on Mars, the type of propulsion that will be needed to go to Mars and beyond, the possibility of life in the upper atmosphere of Venus and throughout the solar system, and the use of nuclear power for space exploration.
