Guest: Open Lines with Dr. David Livingston. Topics: nuclear rocket propulsion, VASIMR, space policy, ISS, Constellation, Ares 1. This Open Lines program was a two hour discussion with many listener phone calls and email/chat questions. As with all open lines shows, they have a mind of their own and go off in a direction that you the listeners want. An Open Lines program is a listener driven content oriented program so here is what we talked about this time. During the first segment, I led with a discussion of the copyright issues for The Space Show.

Broadcast 940 (Special Edition)

Guest: Open Lines. Our regularly scheduled guest for this program had a last minute emergency, so we converted the show to Open Lines. Our originally scheduled guest, Charles Chafer, will be rescheduled as soon as possible. We led off with an Open Lines listener phone call about chat windows and IM on the show. I described to the listener how to use instant messenger chat to communicate with the show and also stated that we do not provide an organized group chat window.

Broadcast 463 (Special Edition)

William Hulsey was the guest for this Space Show program. Mr. Hulsey, as an expert attorney in intellectual property, put for the case for developing space intellectual property rights. He very thoroughly explains why this is important, what intellectual property rights mean for commercial space development and above all, why the time is right for developing these laws and rules now, rather than after commerce has begun. You will certainly find this discussion informative and compelling.
