I am a Co-Founder of For All Moonkind, Inc., and a founding partner of ABH Aerospace, LLC. I received my B.A. in Political Science from Yale College and my J.D. magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center. I earned my LLM in Air and Space Law from McGill University. The focus of my research at McGill was on commercial space and the intersection of commerce and public law.
My background dictates my, at times naïve, faith in humanity and my desire to see it thrive for many generations to come. Briefly, it includes: a childhood spent moving every two to three years across Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia as a United States Foreign Service “brat;” a “big-law” firm career that commenced with the restructuring of debt for South and Latin American countries, running the spectrum from Brazil to Trinidad and Tobago, and evolved into the negotiation of cross-border tech mergers; a solo legal consulting practice that, among other things, contributed significantly to employment discrimination cases which achieved small, but catalytic changes in the way minority and female professionals are treated; and a private consulting practice that has advised entrepreneurs across four continents on all aspects of bringing their innovative ideas to market. To that end, I have researched and written comprehensive white papers and legal memoranda on everything from LeBron James to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act to the potential regulation of on-orbit satellite service providers to the preservation of human heritage in outer space. I am currently working with a team of engineers developing a game-changing fleet of spacecraft for deployment within the next five years. I recently co-founded the nonprofit organization, For All Moonkind, dedicated to preserving our human heritage in outer space. Our entirely volunteer team of lawyers, policymakers and communications experts from around the globe are working to educate the public about the importance of space in general – and the need to preserve our cultural heritage even off our world – while at the same time preparing a first draft of a proposed Convention on the Preservation of Human Heritage in Outer Space for consideration by the international community.
