
Maureen O'Brien currently serves as the Director of Space Trade and International Affairs for Oakman Aerospace, Inc. She has over 15 years experience in the aerospace industry in the areas of modeling and simulation, mission analysis, security, program management, and ITAR / export control. In her current position, Ms. O'Brien oversees the commercial and international business at Oakman Aerospace which specializes in Rapid & Responsive, Modular, Open-Architecture Space Systems. Ms. O'Brien has been involved in supporting the current ITAR / export control reform efforts and is part of the reform working group established by Senator Bennet and Congressman Coffman. Additionally she has worked in the area of space debris mitigation and remediation, presenting on the topic at the Small Satellite Systems & Service (4S) Symposium and taking part in an industry working group on 'Rules of the Road'. Ms. O'Brien has held technical and management positions with Comtech AeroAstro, Signal Research Corp., General Dynamics – Advanced Information Systems, and Lockheed-Martin Space Systems Company.
