Manuel Cuba

Manuel Cuba is the co-founder of Helix Space, a Luxembourgish company that helps the SpaceTech ecosystem obtain funding, increase sales by achieving product/market fit, and improve its cybersecurity stand. Its customers include start-ups, SMEs, satellite operators, cybersecurity service providers and major SpaceTech incubators and accelerators in Europe, such as Luxembourg’s Fit4Start, the European Space Resources Innovation Center, CASSINI Hackhatons and Mentoring, and the Space Hubs Network. Helix Space also provides advisory services on NewSpace and novel SpaceTech products to the investment community, such as Quantum Key Distribution, D2D satellite communications, Space Resources, among others.

 

On top of its revenue generating activities, Helix Space has a R&D department called Space Translational Medicine. Its mission is to use existing and future research infrastructure on Earth’s orbit to develop and commercialize biomolecules, biomaterials, and nutritional supplements for preventive and therapeutic management of human and veterinary diseases on Earth. Helix Space is performing this activity as a Private Research Institution accredited by the Ministry of Economy of Luxembourg.

 

Overall, Manuel has master’s degrees in industrial engineering and Space Management, and over 30 years of accumulated experience in ICT and Space; this includes 10+ years working as a Senior Specialist at SES, one of the global leaders in content connectivity solutions.
