
Karina Drees is the CFO of the Washington DC based startup TRX Systems, developing the most reliable and comprehensive indoor tracking system. Prior to TRX, Karina ran finance and operations for a number of startup technology companies and obtained her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. After spending a summer at the X PRIZE Foundation, Karina co-founded the MIT Astropreneurs Club, bringing together students across MIT who share an interest in space entrepreneurship. After MIT, Karina attended the International Space University Summer Session Program in Beijing, China to enhance her knowledge of the space industry. She continues to help educate entrepreneurs about writing winning business plans and preparing investor pitches. Karina is this year's Chair of the Space Investment Summit, which will be held in Washington DC on Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
